1. Where do the proceeds of the event go?
Proceeds of the event will benefit the Tiger Woods Foundation and to support its various programs, including the Tiger Woods Learning Center, a youth-education facility and curriculum based in Anaheim, California that will soon expand to Washington, D.C., and Tiger’s Action Plan, a nationwide character development program based on Earl D. Woods’ book entitled Start Something. For more information on the Tiger Woods Foundation and it's many programs visit www.tigerwoodsfoundation.org.

 
2. How can I volunteer to help out in the tournament?
There is currently a waiting list to be a tournament volunteer. Volunteers from the previous year are given priority to return the following year. Alternates are then selected based on additional need.

 
3. Are tickets available for the Chevron World Challenge?

Yes. Tickets can be purchased on the Tickets & Hospitality page or by calling 1-800-594-TIXX. There are many admission options, which range from day passes to hospitality packages. See the Tickets & Hospitality page for detailed descriptions of all packages. 


4. Where can I park and how much does it cost?
All parking for the event is free in the General Admission parking lot located off of Potrero Road. Shuttle buses will transport patrons to and from the parking lot and the golf course entrances. For detailed information refer to the Parking & Directions section under Spectator Info on this website.


5. Can I get housing during the Chevron World Challenge?
There are many hotels in the area in which visitors can stay. Visit the Hotels & Restaurants page for specific hotel information, or visit the Westlake Village Regional Chamber of Commerce website, at www.towlvchamber.org.

 
6. When is the tournament televised?
The tournament will be televised according to the following schedule:

Thursday Golf Channel 12 pm–3 pm PST
Friday Golf Channel 12 pm–3 pm PST
Saturday NBC 12 pm–3 pm PST
Sunday NBC 12 pm–3 pm PST

 
7. I’m making plans for 2008; what are the Tournament dates?
The tournament dates for 2008 are December 17-21.

 
8. Where is the golf course located?

9. How does a player qualify to play in the Chevron World Challenge?
Tournament host Tiger Woods heads the field of 16 elite PGA TOUR players, including the top 11 available from the Official World Golf Ranking, the Defending Champion, and four special exemption players selected by the Tiger Woods Foundation.

 
10. Who designed the golf course?
Golfing legend Jack Nicklaus is the man who designed the 7,064-yard, par 72 championship course.

 
11. Is there a Lost and Found?
Yes. The lost and found will be located at the Tournament headquarters Trailer in Parking Lot A.

 
12. Can I bring my camera?
CAMERAS AND VIDEO RECORDERS ARE NOT PERMITTED DURING THE TOURNAMENT ROUNDS, THURSDAY–SUNDAY.
Cameras are only permitted on Wednesday.


13. Is there any policy on what I can and cannot bring to the tournament?
Yes. The following items are NOT permitted on the golf course:

  • Backpacks
  • Beepers
  • Beverage containers
  • Carry items larger than a small purse
  • Cellular phones & PDAs
  • Coolers
  • Firearms
  • Chairs and stools of any kind (no matter what height)
  • Ladders
  • Large camera bags
  • Packages
  • Periscopes
  • Picnic baskets
  • Radios
  • Signs
  • Televisions
  • Video cameras

ALL ITEMS ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH.
We have set these policies with your safety in mind. If someone will be using your ticket during the tournament, PLEASE ADVISE THEM OF THESE POLICIES.

 
14. I’m planning on flying to the tournament. What airport should I fly into?
Sherwood is serviced by two major airports, Los Angeles International (LAX) and Hollywood/Burbank (BUR), as well as Van Nuys, Oxnard, and Camarillo airports, which accommodate private and corporate planes.

 
15. Where can I get my own Pairings Guide and Program?
Pairings Guides will be available for free Wednesday–Sunday and will be on a first-come, first-served basis at kiosks throughout the course.  TWC Programs will be available for purchase ($5.00 each) at the Will Call/Ticket Sales trailer outside the Pro-Shop.
